If you are viewing messages using the Flat-Threaded threading type, then the messages table contains the titles of the most recently posted-to threads on the board, with the most recent at the top. If you click on the title of a thread, you will be shown a page which contains all the messages in that thread, with the first message at the top. If there are more messages in the thread than you can view on one page, the thread will be broken up across a number of pages, and there is a navigation bar at the top of the screen to allow you to scroll through the pages. To reply to a message, click on the "Reply" link next to it. To reply to the root message of the thread, you can also use the reply link at the top of the page. There are also buttons in the navigation bar at the top to allow you to move between threads.
