User DetailsThe User Details page allows you to change your personal information and preferences. Much of it
is very self-explanitory, but some fields will be covered here.
System Email Address - This is the primary email address that the system will use to contact you.
Message Threading Type - This is the default way that you will view messages on boards. There are
four options: by board default, sort by date, flat-threaded tree, and nested tree. For information
about threading types, click here.
Share Details - This option governs who can view your personal details.
Entries per Page in Lists - This option will control how many rows you will see at once in any
list that is broken up across multiple pages.
Entries per Page in Thread View - This option controls how many messages you see per page when
viewing a thread in the flat-threaded style.
Preview Before Posting by Default - If you choose "no" on this option, preview boxes on
message composition screens will be unchecked by default.
Signature - Whatever you put in this box will be inserted into a message anytime you use the
[sig] tag. Normal system formatting tags are allowed.
To make changes to your details, fill in the appropriate values in the fields and then click
"Save and Continue" at the bottom of the form.
You can also add an alias, email address, phone number, address, ICQ number, other account name,
webpage link, or comment by selecting the proper entry in the User Actions menu and clicking
"Save and Continue," Then fill in the appropriate fields when requested and press "Save and
Continue" again. To edit or delete one of these entries, click on the radio button next to the
entry you wish to delete or change, select either "Modify this entry" or "Delete this entry" from
the User Actions menu, and press "Save and Continue."
